weekend stay at conrad

went for a night's stay at conrad wif bob and tara.. boy, i really looked forward to spending the precious weekend wif them.. the last time we (bob and me) were there, i was in my last trimester! how time flies... haiz...

it's only after cindy mentioned, did i realise tat my stay coincide with the NDP rehearsal.. the moment we stepped in the room, i walked to the window and realised that we are facing the padang directly! so excited... after picking up some stuff fm carrefour, bob and tara took a nap while i pulled a chair and sat in front of the window, armed with my camera, novel, drink and packet of chezels, waiting for the parade to start.. i almost fell asleep waiting.. bob woke up and sat beside me waiting too.. after a while, we saw the helicopters! the ones carrying the big singapore flag! hey, is tat called a helicopter in the first place? anyway, they flew past right in front our our window! it's so near! then the fighter planes flew past, doing stunts.. wow.. preview of ndp right in the comfort of a hotel room! but the hefty price tag though.. hehe..

at about 8 plus, the fireworks started! initially it was a few small ones.. and bob tot that they wun do the full scale on rehearsal but a few minutes later, many more fireworks started to light up the sky! it's so beautiful!! even though a big part of it was hidden behind pan pac and we can only see the reflections and the colours from the buildings in the CBD area.. even tara was enjoying the sight! i really envy those ppl standing at the merlion area (i realised the crowd came for this purpose!)..


i snapped so many pictures of the fireworks and the parade that the battery for the camera went flat! hey! i haven took pictures of the hotel yet! tot of wanting to take more pix of the stay in conrad, in the end, wasted all the battery power on the NDP.. well, the fireworks was worth it.. then i realised i have spents bout 15 mins and lots of battery power, trying to snap pix of the helicopter beside westin, tinking that the parachuters will parachute down fm there! silly me....

at about half past nine, bob suggested we ordered supper fm room service.. i had sirloin while bob had lamb chop.. we shared some foie gras too! not tat fantastic leh.. anyway, the table of food came with 2 small bottles of heinz ketchup and 2 bottles of mustard! so cute, must take.. wat to do, singaporeans leh.. at least i left the bathrobes alone.. of cos lah, must pay leh...

we spent the 2nd day of the stay just having breakfast at oscars and bringing tara for a quick dip in the pool.. tara didn't enjoy the dip cos it's pretty cold i tink.. after tat, both bob and tara took a nap and i enjoyed a nice long bath before we checked out.

went straight to 3rd aunt's place.. bring tara to see her grandparents.. as usual, excited to see her and she was pretty comfortable with them too.. no fussing.. so bob decided the both of us should go great world to grab some groceries, since tara was ok wif them..

saw some really nice lobsters at cold storage!! i asked bob if we could buy that for dinner tonite and he replied "when did i ever say no to watever food you wana eat?" and i was like, hmmmzz.. no loh.. we also bought some seafood for spaghetti. dinner was sumptous! bob baked the lobster with garlic and butter and it was simply delicious! wow, only $20 bucks for a really tasty lobster.. worth the money!!! who needs to go restaurants and pay ridiculous price for lobsters now?? hehehee...

Taka craziest toy fair!

no doubt the craziest toy fair!! when cindy asked me if i'm interested to go, i was like, ok.. why not? even though i doubt the discounts will be really gd.. maybe $5 off for a $30 item.. what for leh? but since she wana go, i just accompany her..

boy, was i wrong! not only the prices are super cheap, there's SO MANY TOYS!! i duno where to start with, so i did my usual "routine" during a sale, just walk one round first, "recce" and see wat i may want, and walk another round to pick up the items... wow.. i found so many i want!! but there's no basket.. cindy had to wait at the cashier for the baskets and the nice security guard (maybe find her pretty lah) and gave her 2!

so i started walking round the perimeter.. i haven got to the middle and my basket is full! and i'm carrying another 2 boxes.. i can't carry anymore.. hey! i'm still not done leh.. i haven even walk to the centre! how bout the kids camera, the "playdoh" set and lots lots more! but i can't carry anymore, no choice, had to pay and leave first.. cindy was worse, she's carrying cranky little cyrus.. and managed to grab few toys only.. boy! the queue was long!! though there's 6 cashiers. after we've paid, i can't bear to leave the place.. i still haven finish buying! anyway, promised cindy we will go back on monday.. since the sale ends august, i'm sure there's still more toys up on sale.. i hope...

btw, spents only $100 for all the toys i bought, the best thing is, i found the wooden block set which i've been searching high and low for.. it's a disney pooh set! so happy....... can't wait to go back again...

there are so many things on my to-do list right now:

1) Tidy up the house
2) Finish up tara's cross-stitch
3) Convert the cardi knit to something else (to wat? hmmz.. a blanket maybe??)
4) Read all my books!
5) File up all the recipes
6) Develop tara's photos
7) Burn tara's photos into CD
8) Upload my wedding (AD), honeymoon, tara's photos onto photo website
9) Nag bob to do up the shelves for tara's books
10) Find an excuse to go ikea to shop.. maybe buy a big storage box for tara? hehehehe...
11) Get that cute photo album!!
12) Throw expired food fm the fridge.. yucky..
13) Pack tara's "outgrown" clothes

so much for now... haiz.. hope i can finish in time... before more tasks comes in! yup, focus focus focus!!

baby show

tara's last cc baby show today.. though the waiting time is pretty long, at least i dun need to see bob's bored face.. went wif cindy and cyrus only...


but guess this is so far the best i've went to, the prizes are better and best of all, just by measuring the size of tara's little feet, i can get a free box of rusks for tara! yup, getting cheapskate liao.. haha! but who can resist free stuff man... participate in the parent and child lookalike contest too, but just like the YP contest, lousy photographer = lousy pix.. forget it.. keep the pix as a momento instead...

poor tara, went hm today wif a set of nice teeth marks fm faith.. bob was furious but wat to do, kids.. can't blame them...

went to evon's baby girl, adore's full mth party.. can see the daddy is really proud of his little girl! sweet little thing.. but really dun miss the time when tara is tat little.. so boring! sleep and eat.. nothing else..

so disappointed! rush to buy a copy of YP.. tara did not get into the finals of the cover baby contest... i wonder if it's the right choice to bring in amateurish part-timers to take the pix.. wat do they know bout capturing the right moment man! i was pretty confident tara will make it to the finals.. but tat was before i saw the pix.. boy, was i right man...

gathering fun!

monthly gathering again! this time vivien offered her house.. simple.. but nice, cos it's neat mah.. when you stay in a pig sty for years, every other house is nice loh.. but truly, nice and simple, just the kind i like..

went shopping for pei zhen's bday gift at west mall today.. wow, saw a very nice photo album! it's just the kind i wana use for tara's photos.. so cute! but cost over 20 bucks and holds the same no. of pix fm the 9 bucks i bought just recently.. but heck! i'm not gonna miss it man.. gonna go back to get it.. hehe.. hmmz.. 2 enough i tink...

enjoyed the gathering today.. so much fun! hope we will keep holding it every mth.. till the whole house infested wif little "pests"!

bad day today...

finally, my baby is botak again.. looks cute actually.. a little like alien.. quite funny.. makes my day slightly better.. cos i got hell of a day!

duno wat's wrong wif kel.. early in the morning warn me twice not to anger him! hell man! i just talk the way i used to.. he's not in a gd mood and it's my fault.. f*** him lah.. i shall not "try him".. i shall ignore him! maybe he tot tat i will be afraid of him loh.. well, there's only one person i afraid of and it's definitely not him.. anyway, i didn't let tat dampen my supposedly gd mood..

yesterday kel was talking to me about ipod.. well, i heard tat before.. ipod, but wat is it for? kel explain to me.. after calling me mountain tortoise.. wow! really got me interested man! esp the 60GB space.. i sure need it for my baby's ever increasing photos! but after hearing the price.. i faint.. keke.. after tat.. during lunch, i saw annie.. haven seen her for quite a while.. the funny thing was, i dreamt of both ipod and annie last nite!

i dreamt tat i wana get an ipod and went yahoo auction to search, and coincidentally, annie was selling it! i clicked on one icon on her post and saw a video of her, heavily preggie wif twins and super blissful and very happy! i'm so touched tat i cried.. the dream seem so real.. i was really so happy for her.. after wat she's been thru (wif my a**hole bro), she deserves to live a better life.. happy life.. anyway, sms her and got 4 sets of numbers fm her.. hope she can give me luck loh.. earn me some money for my car insurance and road tax.. urgh.. due soon.

was on a pretty gd mood when i came hm wif tara.. was telling bob about my dream when he suddenly snapped at me! for always putting stuff on the edge of the table.. tat's it! i broke down.. i mean, wat's wrong wif these ppl huh! always like to scold and snap at ppl.. i nv remember myself doing tat! hey, all humans got feelings. i'm not an animal which you can scold and hit as and when you like it.. anyway, he apologised to me and cook me noodles.. forgive him loh, he's my hubby leh.. wat to do.. haiz..

baby album

wow.. i'm so happy.. went to takashimaya and bought a baby book (to log tara's birth and all her firsts!) an an album (finally!) for tara's photos. after 8 mths and not even a proper photo album.. too busy? or simply procrastination? well, guess it's the latter cos i'm famous for that.

went to JP for dinner with bob and tara. suppose to bring tara for her hair cut (more of a shave) but i can't bear to shave them off! it took 4 mths to grow that little bit of hair.. but ppl had been telling me, to have nice beautiful head of hair, have to shave often.. well, guess i gotta try then. will get mum to bring her to the salon tomorrow morning, at least i dun hv to be there and seeing all my baby's hair gone in minutes!

anyway, finding things to buy again! told bob i wana get a set of blocks similar to jaime's, cos i can see tara really enjoy playing wif it.. so we went to toys r'us.. as expected, couldn't find it.. but couldn't find anything else simliar to buy either.. hv to leave the store empty handed..

tara was cranky tonite.. fed her milk and she fell asleep on the sofa.. mins later, she started coughing and puking her milk! poor tara, had to suffer tummy ache last nite and now this.. really heartpain to see her like tat.. haiz.. but she can still smile brightly when i put her to bed.. really melts my heart.. and bring tears to my eyes.. my darling.. love her to bits!
