Lost Library Book

I left the book on top of the car boot while I tried to strap the struggling toddler onto the car seat.

In the pandemonium, I forgot about my book and drove away. When I reached home, I couldn't find the book anywhere and guessed I must have "abandoned" it enroute.

I traced back my route, but the book was nowhere to be seen. I do hope that some kind hearted soul will return the book to the library. Guess I'll just wait till the date due and if the book hasn't turned up at the library, I'll just have to confess that I, the blur sotong of the century, actually drove a car with a book on top of the car boot.
